In April, fifth graders at School #4 were given first-hand access to rural agriculture and some insight into the process of growing cotton when they videoconferenced with high school students from Stamford High School in Texas. The students from Texas researched, prepared, and produced a Virtual Field Trip to the cotton fields within their hometown. Boxes of cotton bolls with the hulls still attached were sent to the School #4 fifth graders for analysis. The pictures below capture some of their experiences during the videoconference.
