The children in Miss Toy's second grade art class created beautiful self portrait collages to kick off the new school year.

Third and fourth grade students created quilt paintings in the style of African-American Artist and Author, Faith Ringgold. The children read "Tar Beach" which tells the story of a young girl who dreams of flying above her home in Harlem and the Brooklyn Bridge. The story inspired the children to paint a self portrait flying above their own special place.
