AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE CLUB R. Johnson Mondays 2:45 S201 To obtain information about African History and culture.
AIDS AWARENESS T. Barbour Wednesdays 2:45 S211 Peer education on Aids/Hiv. Trained to present factual information, to prepare skits to present to Middle School and HS classes.  Two full days of training, Four full Day Presentations at Middle School. Practice times as well.
BEST BUDDIES  P. Ellis/L. Garelick/T. Bonaimo Monday 2:35 Cafeteria Pairs developmentally disabled students in one-to-one friendships with high school students. By introducing Best Buddies into public & private high schools, it is hoped that we are crossing the invisible line that too often separates those with disabilities from those without.
BIG BUDDIES R. Johnson High School students serve as positive role models for ESL students at School #5. Volunteer help new Americans learn about their new country.
Patriots Club T. Nussen/C.Quagliata Tuesday 2:45 S116 To acknowledge, honor and remember current and former U.S. military personnel who were part of the Oceanside School District and or its community. To spread and encourage patriotism among the Students and community.
BOTANY CLUB Tory Palazzolo Tuesdays 2:45 N233 Raise Funds and maintain Oceanside School #6 Memorial Arboretum. Plant trees and gardens at OHS. Has social and educational firld trips.
CLUB X J.Schuellein/E.Gilrein Club X offers the opportunity to travel to N.Y.C. to attend cultural events such as theatre, opera, ballet concerts and museums.  Each trip includes dinner at a different ethnic restaurant.
DECA K. Mekeel/M. Lowrey 2nd & 4th Wednesday of month 2:45 Cafeteria DECA is an internationally recognized student run business organization that serves to prepare students for careers in marketing and management.  Students will develop market research reports.
ENVIR STUD/KAYAK C. Harkins 2 Mondays per month (TBA) 2:45 S223 The Kayak Club is an environmentally friendly organization in which students are afforded the opportunity  to explore the flora and fauna of the bay ecosystem via kayak.

G.S.A. K. Rosenblum Mondays 2:45-3:45 N123 Gay/Straight Alliance is a club about tolerance of all groups; straight and others.  It also should help bridge the gap between these groups.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY B. Esseler Wednesdays 2:40 S203 Community service club charter of Habitiat for Humanity on College and National level.
HEBREW CULTURE H. Rabinowitz Tuesdays 2:40- S223 Plan projects that benefit the community.  Go on educational field trips and have discussions on holidays and various interesting topics.  All are welcome.

INTERACT S. Dowler/T.Barbour Thursday 2:35 S224 Community Service based organization. Activities range from nursing home visits to food collection and delivery and hundreds of other activities.
JR CLASS ADVISOR D. Block As needed-TBA Cafeteria Participate in Junior Class activities. Meetings to plan Jr. Class activities such as Homecoming, Battle of the Classes, fundraising and class rings are ongoing.
KEY CLUB  Christine Sartory Mondays 2:45 Library Key Club is a service leadership organization for high school students whose objective is the development of initiative, leadership ability and good citizenship practices.

LAW CLUB T. Adolf Wednesday 2:45 S119 Members compete in mock and moot trials at other schools & at the Supreme Court in Mineola.
LITERARY MAGAZINE A.O'Connell Produce the literary magazine.
MARINE SCIENCE CLUB M. Gary Mondays 2:35-3:35 S219 Students will be involved in exploring our local ecosystems and marine life through hands on field trips and discussions.
MATHLETES J. Smith Competitions with other schools, practice for competitions.
OCEANSIDE ATHLETIC PRIDE J. Manning/R. Woods Thursdays 7:00 AM S212 To raise school spirit at OHS. Raise money for athletics programs through the Circle of Pride dinner.
PEER MEDIATION R. Johnson/A. Ohara Every other Wednesday-TBA 2:45-3:45 S108 Peer mediators from grades 9-12 are trained to meet with students who are experiencing a conflict.  The goal of the program is conflict resolution and violence prevention.
RECYCLING F. Rugolo Club is for students who would like to beautify the school's environment and to provide a sense of pride in the school community by recycling.
ROBOTICS M. Sheinkopf/E. Kelly Wednesdays 2:45 S204 In the Robotics Club, students will build a 130 pound robot for competition. The club teams professionals and students to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitve way. The program is a life changing, career molding experience and a lot of fun.
SADD A. O'Hara Every other Monday-TBA 2:45-3:45 S108 Club focuses on reducing high risk behaviors in teens through participating in discussions, activities, fundraising and conferences.

SIDER PRESS  J. Perri Thursdays 2:45 S206 The Sider Press Club produces the high school's newspaper.  Toward this end, we cover school, local, national, and international events and issues.  There is a core of editors supported by staff writers, artists, and photographers.  Involvement in the paper provides students with real-world journalistic skills and experience.

WORLD LANGUAGE HONOR SOCIETY P. Ciccone Wednesdays 2:35-3:35 N213 The World Language Honor Society is an organization that raises funds through cultural activities, & encourages students to actively pursue & promote language & cultural awareness.  To be eligible for induction into the World Language Honor Society, the successful candidate must meet the following criteria:  93% cumulative average over the first 3 marking periods in their current language class.  Students must be currently enrolled in a level III class or above, excluding Communication & Culture classes.  In addition, students must enroll in 4H, College Spanish, or an AP language course for the 2009-2010 school year in order to be inducted in May 2009.  Teacher recommendation is required.
