Principal's Message
February, 2012
Dear Parents:
Well, Punxsutawney Phil, the groundhog who predicts the weather on February 2nd each year, tells us there will be six more weeks of winter. My question is, what happened to the last two months of winter? We have been lucky to have warm days, outdoor recess more often than not, and many hours in our classrooms filled with learning, excitement and enthusiasm for our daily activities.
With the first half of the school year behind us, we have much to look forward to. We are concluding our “ROCK, ROLL AND READ, PARP program and thanks to our wonderful PARP mom’s the PTA has offered great reading incentives for our children. CD’s decorated by the kids in Mrs. Anisansel’s art class fill our halls, engaging opening and closing assemblies and outside guests “SQUEAKY CLEAN,” entertained us, outside community members read to our children in their classrooms during Community Ready Day, and most importantly many hours of reading as a family took place in your homes.
