MARION LAZAN VISITS OMS

Marion Blumenthal Lazan, a Holocaust survivor, visited Oceanside Middle School in March where she spoke to our 8th grade students about her life story. Mrs. Lazan travels the world speaking publicly about her Holocaust experiences and asks us to be tolerant of others and not stereotype individuals based on religious beliefs, color, race or national origin. She stresses the importance of positive thinking as well as creativity and inner strength to overcome adversity. Mrs. Lazan is also the co-author of her memoir, Four Perfect Pebbles.
