In celebration of the Year of Languages, Mrs. Bowers and Ms. Pricci's Italian level I students participated in various competitions.
The winners from left to right are: (from Ms. Pricci's class) Elisa Pennella, semifinalist of the Hofstra Italian Poetry Contest; Christine Schindler, honorable mention of the Italian National Exam; (from Mrs. Bowers' class) Anthony Barrera, 2nd place winner in the LILT Foreign Language Day Competition and 3 rd place winner of the Hofstra Italian Poetry Contest; Alissa Longo, 2 nd place winner of the Hofstra Italian Poetry Contest; Jessica Suppa, 1 st place winner of the Hofstra Italian Poetry Contest. |
