FUNDRAISING Over the past few years, we have created a partnership with nonprofit organizations to help our students learn the importance of giving to others. Last year, our work with the Special Olympics truly touched the lives of many of our students, as did our previous work with Schneider Children’s Hospital and Rescue One. This is an opportunity for our students to learn they can make a difference for others in a positive way. Our fundraising efforts are the main part of our yearly Team Spirit program. Other clubs and organizations in our school have decided to take part in this effort. Hopefully, even more groups will decide to become involved this year. This year we would like to become involved with the “Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund”. This fund is supported entirely by donation without any deduction for administrative costs. The Fund helps hundreds of families of military personnel who have given their lives in defense of our country. These financial gifts are given without fanfare to help these families in financial need. Often, money is given for children’s educational needs and even basic housing for a family. The NFL is one of the main contributing organizations. In fact, last year’s Super Bowl was dedicated to this organization and the efforts of the NFL. Our school will be able to make a difference through our efforts. It is a way to touch the lives of our students and show them how important it is to help others. If you have any questions, comments, or ideas please do not hesitate to contact me. Information about this organization will be shared with all students prior to Team Spirit. Participation by all students and parents before then is always welcomed and encouraged. Sincerely yours,
